Asking For and Giving Opinion
Hello teman-teman, kali ini saya ingin berbagi tentang "Asking For and Giving opinion" yang merupakan ekspresi yang dapat kita gunakan untuk memberikan pendapat tentang suatu objek yang kita lihat maupun pendapat yang diminta oleh lawan bicara kita. Untuk beberapa contoh ekspresi yang dapat kita gunakan adalah sebagai berikut.
1. Asking for opinion
What’s your opinion?
What do you feel/think about...?
What about...?
How do you feel about...?
What is your reaction to...?
Do you have an opinion on..?
Don’t you think....?
What do you think about..?
What is your point of view?
2. Giving for opinion
• Well, to my mind..
• I am convinced that...
• I consider...
• In my opinion, it is a good choice.
• It’s O.K with me.
• I personally think she is a diligent boy.

Dialogue 1
Reno : Beni, What do you think is the best action to reduce global warming.
Beni : I think everyone should start changing their way of life.
Reno : what do you mean?
Beni : well, we have to start to do what we can, to help reduce global warming.
Reno : what do you suggest that we should do?
Beni : Well, there are lots of things that we can do. We should start saving electricity, start recycling things, start using public transport means, buying and consuming as much as we need only, etc. Basically, just save anything that we can.
Reno : Wow! You know a lot of things about reducing global warming. Where did you learn all of that from?
Beni : Well, i read newspaper, magazines, and also search for information in the internet. Actually, i want inform what i’ve learned to everyone so that everybody can start helping to save our mother nature. Reno : That’s great idea. I will do that.
Dialogue 2
Sando : Morning Reni. What are you doing?
Reni : morning, i am writing a new article about the use of Adjective in English.
Sando : So, do you like English?
Reni : Yes, i do. English is an international language. I have learned English since 2005. English is used everywhere. Nowadays, many gadgets use English. What’s your opinion about English? Do like using English?
Sando : No, i don’t. I think English is boring subject. It talks about grammar a lot. It was my experience in high school. My teacher did it and never spoke English in classroom.
