Kalimat Passive dalam Bahasa Inggris

Pembahasan di bawah ini tentang kalimat passive dalam bahasa Inggris, atau sering juga dikenal dengan passive voice. Passive voice sangatlah gampang kita hanya merubah subjek nya untuk menjadi objek dan objeknya menjadi subjeknya. Dalam bahasa Indonesia juga dikenal dengan kalimat aktif dan pasif. Ciri-ciri kalimat aktif dalam bahasa indonesia selalu menggunakan imbuhan me dan kalimat pasif nya selalu ditambah dengan imbuhan di. Lihat contoh di bawah ini:

Ani membeli sebuah pena di warung (aktif)
Sebuah pena dibeli oleh Ani di warung (pasif)

Dari contoh di atas sudah jelaskan bahwa Ani sebagai subjek nya pada kalimat aktif. Kemudian berubah menjadi objek pada kalimat pasifnya. Subjek kalimat pasifnya berubah menjadi Sebuah pena. Bagaimana dengan contoh bahasa Inggrisnya? perhatikan contoh berikut ini:

Ani buys a pen in the store (Active)
A pen is bought by Ani in the store (Passive)

Dari contoh di atas, subjek pada kalimat active yaitu Ani. Namun ketika dirubah menjadi passive, subjeknya menjadi A pen. Agar semakin jelas, penulis akan memberikan berbagai contoh dengan masing-masing tenses nya:
1. Simple Present Tense
Active      : (+)Ani buys a pen in the store
Passive     : 
(+)A pen is bought by Ani in the store
(-) A pen is not bought by Ani in the Store.
(?) Is a pen  bought by Ani in the store? Rumusnya:
Positive       : Subject + to be (is,am,are) + verb 3
Negative      : Subject + to be + not + verb 3 + complement
Interogative : To be + Subject + Verb 3 ?
 2. Present continuous tense
Active       : Lisa is writing a good article in her blog.
Passive      :
(+) A good article is being written by Lisa in her blog.
(-) A good article is not being written by Lisa in her blog.
(?) Is a good article being written by Lisa in her blog?
 Rumusnya:
Positive       : Subject + to be + being + verb 3 + complement
Negative      : Subject + to be + not + being + verb 3 + complement
Interogative : To be + Subject + being +Verb 3 ?
3. Simple past tense 
Active        : (++Yesterday the librarian counted the newest books in the library.          
Passive       : 
(+)The newest books were counted by the librarian yesterday. 
(-) The newest books were not counted by the librarian yesterday.
(?) Were the newest book counted by the librarian yesterday?
Rumusnya:
Positive         : S + were/was + verb 3 (past participle) + complement
Negative       : S+ were/was + NOT + verb 3 (past participle) + complement
Interrogative : WERE/WAS + S + VERB 3 ?
4. Past perfect tense 
 Active    : (+)The landlord had offered new rooms to the students. 
 Passive   : 
(+)The students had been offered new rooms by the landlord.
(-) The students had not been offered new rooms by the landlord.
(?) Has the students been offered new rooms by the landlord?
Rumusnya:
Positive             : S + had + been + verb3 (past participle)
Negative            : S + had + NOT + been + verb3 (past participle)
Interrogative      : Had + S + been + verb3 (past participle)?
5. Simple future tense
Active            : (+)Electrician will help the society to repair the electrical problem.
Passive           : 
(+)The society will be helped by the electrician to repair the electrical problem
(-) The society will not be helped by the electrician to repair the electrical problem.
(?) Will the society be helped by the electrician to repair the electrical problem?
Rumusnya:
Positive        : S + will + be + verb3 (past participle) 
Negative       : S + will + not + be+ verb3 (past participle) 
Interrogative : Will + S + be + verb3 (past participle)?
